Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.

With all that’s going on in the world today and in our personal lives, compassion can be a total game changer for our lives as we know it! We need to demonstrate more compassion and understanding towards others these days. Remember, you are fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of Christ (Psalms 139:14) and you are a representation of who and what God’s love is really about. It says in Mark 6:34 NIV, “When Jesus …saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them,… So he began teaching them many things.” In other words, just as Jesus taught and demonstrated compassion, you can too. You may be the only person in someone’s life who can make a change in their life by simply demonstrating compassion and love.
Compassion, pass it on. It may change a life and be contagious! ❤

Compassion is a hand up, not a hand out and does not necessarily cost you a thing? For example, compassion can be a simple hello, an encouraging word, a cup of coffee, a warm meal, a ride somewhere, 5-dollars to put gas in the car, carrying grocery bags for someone, babysitting, a listening ear, a hug, a smile, wishing someone a good/blessed day, a phone call, a text message, an email, a card sent by snail-mail, or simply saying I love you.
Someone somewhere needs something. Do you know of someone who may be in need of compassion today?
Prayer: Father, thank you for your love, compassion, and understanding of me. Help me to see who needs your love and compassion today. Show me and guide me on how I can demonstrate Your love, compassion, and understanding towards others. In Jesus name, amen.
